Yeah, no. They used an Unreal 5 asset as a placeholder texture that was discovered to have been AI gen'd after it had *already been replaced*. But the people criticizing them for this already know the whole story and are just being petty because they don't like a turn-based RPG they've never played.

And lets be real for alot of smaller devs creating everything from scratch isn't feasible at all. Sometimes the assest packs have exactly what you want, sometimes the AI Generates something you can have an artist take and evolve. It shouldn't be so black and white

I’m rewatching Mad About You & theres a joke where Ursula the ditzy waitress mistakes a recurring character for a post-op trans woman and immediately talks about how great she looks now, then deadnames her as part of a running joke at Ursula’s expense. In 1995. The great trans scare is manufactured.
