Remember, it just came to light that last year, immigration officials advised ending a humanitarian program designed to help Sudanese Canadians bring family here to escape war, over concerns that “plans to reduce immigration could be undermined”. Not good.

I was laid off from Teen Vogue today along with multiple other staffers, and today is my last day.

certainly more to come from me when the dust has settled more, but to my knowledge, after today, there will be no politics staffers at Teen Vogue.

I and 14 of my brilliant, hardworking colleagues were laid off today. This includes almost half of my very small team. We were told it was because of funding issues, and because I work in indigenous advocacy funded by the govt, I know it was due to austerity policies put in place by Mark Carney.
