Créer une loi sur l’accès à l’avortement donnerait au contraire des munitions aux groupes anti-choix. Malgré des prétentions, elle resterait une loi comme les autres et pourrait être modifiée à majorité simple par n’importe quel gouvernement.

Congrats to our ally the BC Humanist Assoc. for ending anti-choice billboards in Kelowna BC! Some companies were accepting anti-choice ads but refusing pro-choice ads. Unfortunately, they still refuse pro-choice ads despite them meeting legal and advertising standards. Anti-choice ads do NOT.

This 5-minute video is a good overview of what’s happening in Quebec around abortion with Bill 1 (and also Bill 2). Pro-choice advocates fear if Quebec writes abortion back into the law, even with the goal of protecting it, it could backfire — pointing to the U.S. as an example of what can go wrong.
