Wow, that's hideous. Could they not have taken their cue from the new clocks and gone with something a bit more classic that could at least inspire a little pride? The GBNews copy job just looks naff #greatbritishrailways

Robbie Gibb was appointed to the BBC Board by Boris Johnson, was an editorial advisor for GB News, and worked as Theresa May's Director of Comms.

He is not impartial or neutral. The government should remove him from the Board immediately to protect the BBC's independence.

What you’re witnessing is a populist assault on the BBC.

This is not an institutional scandal in any meaningful sense of the word. It is an attack on public service broadcasting.

Suggestion for any parliamentarians who see this. Put down a PQ to the Cabinet Office to ask them if an assessment has been made of whether use of X is compatible with GCS propriety rules, the Civil Service Code and the PSED. And if not, why not.

I seem to remember a million people regularly demonstrating in opposition to May's handling of Brexit wasn't considered news. But a 100k Tommy Robinson rally is the top story on the BBC all weekend? Have they handed their journalism over to AI? #BBC #FarRight

Almost every bridge on the M6 now has a Union Jack and St George's Cross on it. Reminds me of when they all had "take back control" signs on them.

A very simple way to neuter these clowns would be if some mischievous soul added an EU flag to each set.

Another classic design downgraded for no reason. Waste of money and time, while I also think there's a lot to be said for using traditional branding at a time when there's a widespread sense of national loss - such an easy win re national pride. Counties should ditch naff slogans and logos too.
