Here are the Public Libraries across Rhode Island. The symbol is from the @nounproject.bsky.social, which is probably one of the best subscriptions I have. The symbols are graduated by square footage.

I really try not to act like a crazy person but nice progressive Democrats telling you point blank "we can't do anything to stop people from breaking the law or being outwardly dangerous sociopaths because they might get mad" is an awfully familiar place for anyone in cycling/pedestrian advocacy
France raises a fascinating hypothetical point: what if the law still exists even if people might get mad at you

Crypto reserve this, Bitcoin bailout that, where is the strategic oyster reserve huh?
Let’s see, Donald Trump launched his crypto business right before taking office. Melania did the day before the inauguration. Junior launched a new one too. Oh, and of course Eric did.

The consensus among our mollusc community this week, both bivalve and free swimming, is overwhelmingly supportive of the eagles victory this past weekend; despite skepticism over supporting "birds" in general

Maybe we're cynical but here at the institute we're wondering what took him so long to come to this conclusion, and a little worried about the judgement of someone who need that much time to work it out
Whitehouse to vote ‘no’ on RFK Jr.

Advocacy works.

“Mr. Kennedy has not come remotely close to providing adequate assurances that he will follow the well-established science on vaccines, nor remedy the ways CMS hurts Rhode Island, so I cannot support his nomination.”

When the Patriot Act was passed, libraries got requests for patrons’ borrowing history. We were prohibited from disclosing those requests.

We deleted and shredded those records and stopped tracking reading history for that reason.

The Mollusc institute would like to remind all terrestrial residents of the Narragansett Bay watershed to shovel their damn sidewalks

Whether or not molluscs can feel fear as we understand it is up for debate, but every member of the phylum I've spoken to has made it clear they think RFK Jr is unfit for the position

Though the institute itself is not reliant on federal funds, the scallops of Greenwich Bay and the Upper Narragansett have issued a formal statement, calling the administration's freeze "a desperate attempt to avoid giving the scallops what they're owed"

Spice up your nachos this season with the addition of delicious Narragansett Bay Minced Clams
Life is hard but a plate of nachos can fix that.

This belongs to the clams now and you can pry it from their cold dead abductor muscles

Already planning your Superbowl Sunday Snack Spread? Try calamari instead of onion rings this year, to support your local squid ranchers and help meet those protein goals!

Can we please stop with the distractions and focus on what's really important? Expanding the washington bridge from 6 lanes to 6 lanes but wider, so I don't have to take my foot off the gas when I cross?
