Suppose it'd be remiss of me not to exploit a new social media platform to try and flog a few books. So, if anyone's interested, here's a clip from the audiobook version of my 2015 novel The World Is (Not) A Cold Dead Place, which came out last year, on Audible.

Anyone know how the match tickets ballot works if you've applied for more than one? FINALLY had a successful one for Newcastle, but only notification about and payment taken for one ticket when I entered for three, one each for me and my lads..

Think the only reason this wasn't given as handball was that VAR genuinely thought Keano was just trying to recreate the Heroes album cover.

Bonfire night is shit and scares my dog, but hoping to see more biblical images from unlicensed, impromptu bonfires in the north end of Birkenhead.

I know Barry missed a sitter but he'd done ok overall and dragging him after less than an hour was just pointless. We needed Charley or Merlin on o add some drive through the middle, the issue wasn't up front. And McNeil instead of Dibling was just ridiculous.

Armstrong continues to look a genuine prospect. But have serious concerns about the, frankly, wool choice of the number 5 shirt for a midfielder.
Preston have also done a nice montage of Harrison Armstrong MOM performance

Wonder how many tens of thousands of workers will die in any attempted construction.
This will 100% not be built.

In terms of shortlists, I can never look at one without thinking about the other books, equally good, that might have been there.
That said, get voting. I’m delighted that The Benefactors is here in such lovely company. www.irishbookawards.ie/vote/

Maybe someone at Labour should be saying something along these lines? Or is that a silly idea ?
People who have come to the United Kingdom legally, played by the rules and made it their home do not need to “go home”. This is their home.

@eddavey.libdems.org.uk has written to Kemi Badenoch to give her the chance to reject these divisive calls from her frontbencher Katie Lam.
