How to make a simple digital character drawing:
1. Start with a basic linework.
2. Shade where the light doesn't hit (this could be arbitrary).
3. Apply base color (I used red). For the rest, I shifted the hue until I got the ideal color (in this case, red to green).
4. Polish.

Two months.
TWO MONTHS.
My lifelong dream project comes out May 6th. Two months from TODAY.
