Proudly part of the woke mob. And yes, I still occasionally blog.

After the George Floyd protests, right-wingers needed something to counter demands from the largest protest movement in US history. Fortunately, they found a word that fueled their white backlash AND demonized anyone who supported police reform, equality or human decency.

"Woke"
The Woke Mob Was Right
The death of Renee Good is the latest example of why the woke, radical left anti-fascists marching through the streets were right about every single thing.

A Republican elected official proudly declaring he has no problem with agents of the state shooting unarmed citizens in the face if they annoy the regime.

It is impossible to make democracy work with a party that not only tolerates people like this, but elevates them to positions of influence.
Rep. Randy Fine: "If you impede the actions of our law enforcement as they seek to repel foreign invaders from our country, you get what's coming to you. I do not feel bad for the woman that was involved."

new me: as we reckon with Renée Nicole Good's death at the hands of an ICE agent, let's not forget the very reason those feds were in Minneapolis—and how the X-centric "citizen journalism" encouraging our govt to sic troops against Americans extends beyond Nick Shirley slate.com/technology/2...
There’s a Direct Line Between MAGA Content Creators and the ICE Shooting in Minneapolis
Renee Nicole Good’s death after being shot by an immigration officer was preceded by a wave of misinformation peddled by right-wing influencers.

This is exactly what I told someone yesterday.

Even if I spot you the first shot (I shouldn’t, but let’s go with that), shots 2 and 3 were inexcusable and this officer will lose his case if it ever goes to court.

If the shooter was "a little bit sensitive" about an incident that happened 6 months ago, maybe he should have been put on leave instead of given a badge and a gun.
JD Vance accuses the slain Renee Good of perpetrating "an attack on federal law enforcement, an attack on law and order, and attack on the American people"

"That woman was there to interfere with a legitimate law enforcement operation," he adds, repeatedly referring to her as "that woman"

Is it not obvious now? Trump will have you shot in the head. He will declare you a terrorist. He will protect your murderer. And then he will do it again.

We cannot survive as a country like this.

ICE/Border Patrol have shot (at least) 5 people in 5 separate incidents since September

Gregory Bovino was at 2 of those incidents

It would be insane to think that’s a coincidence

Why does Bovino’s presence enormously increase the odds someone will be shot? Is he ordering agents to shoot people?

Ultimately, while the FBI will make it hard for the BCA to do its job, I suspect that both the Hennepin County Attorney's office and the Attorney General's office will find a way. It will just take a bit longer.
Ellison: "State authorities can investigate anyway. We don't need their authority. It's at least arguable that there's a violation of MN statues here. All of them depend on an investigation though. And the federal govt can't stop MN from doing it's own, but I would hope it wouldn't come to that."

You had no interest in protecting Renee Good or holding the criminal who murdered her accountable.
One day after one of her ICE officers shot and killed U.S. citizen Renee Good, DHS Secretary Kristi Noem says she and President Donald Trump pledged to "protect every single American, no matter where they lived in this country..."

I'd like to know more about what went on between the shooter and the victim's wife behind the vehicle before the shooting took place.

Because the woman below survived, the Federal government was obligated to charge her with the crime she was allegedly committing when shot, meaning they had to investigate it. That investigation showed she was innocent.

Since Ms Good did not survive, they don't need to investigate what she did.
As a reminder: this happened here in Chicago, though without loss of life. ICE agents shot an observer/protester in her car. They initially claimed she illegally threatened ICE officers with her car.

All charges were eventually dropped, with prejudice.
