The longer I'm in higher education, the more I find out about all the different and exhausting ways academics try to quantify prestige. Like, who cares? Are you doing good science? Are you helping people?

My husband exacerbated his back injury yesterday and in having to ambulate through multiple airports with wheelchair support. He is so mad at how he’s being treated and he’d already been on the side of disability justice before all this.
