autistic mental health therapist researching autistic adult mental health outcomes
People don’t know this about me, but I used to be a QIDP in IL’s adult IDD Medicaid Waiver before grad school. Today, IL HHS had to remind providers to not overbill for ABA. Mind you, Guidehouse’s program audit points out that BCBAs are making ~$20/hour more than other types of MH clinicians.

We’re spending our Saturday answering questions about our Towards Healthy Aging study at the Integral Autistic Adult Conference. My favorite chicken nugget shape lost the poll, unfortunately 😔 @autismsociety-scwi.bsky.social

Transitioning to the new contract school year in one week. Blegh. I hate this so much. Somehow in the next 365 days, I need to do so many things and all of them are Big Deals.

I am having the hardest time communicating what I'm feeling. Have a meme instead.

I hate class participation points so much. I don't know how to perform any more engagement than to ask questions, show up, talk about the readings, and provide comments on other people's ideas. All my attempts end up getting misinterpreted anyways!

I finally get to hear my favorite Taylor Swift song again after 6 years. Actively crying.

Um, this is giving post-positivism in what should be an interpretivist/constructivist project about autistic views on genetic testing. If you are achieving consensus on *every* code, then your text response data *isn't* open to interpretation.

Decorated my #INSAR2025 badge with local Seattle artist @s2heartbunny.bsky.social ‘s sticker pack. IMMEDIATELY felt better and less stuffy.

Autistic Individuals” at #INSAR2025 starts now.

In my rush to get everything ready for INSAR, I ended up finishing a proposal presentation tonight at ungodly hours. But like... it's not a half-bad project idea and I finished it in an hour and a half. Maybe I am actually decent at this research thing.
