Humans aren't generally intelligent, it's just that there's one or two benchmarks we happen to excel at.

I love it when people complain to me directly about having too many cats in their timeline, as if I'm the bluesky cat czar and I have a giant cat content mixing board where I can adjust their personal cat levels.

First impressive AI thing to come from Google in a loooong long time

Here's Joel and Watcher eyes. I drew this literally with my index finger right after watching the Wild Life finale and then completely forgot to post it.

I'll definitely make some more high quality fan art when I'm back at my computer #trafficsky

How do I let Bluesky know I'm interested in AI but only in the research/news and the occasional artsy image but I'm NOT interested in the stupid hot babes. EVERY TIME I open Bluesky there is a vaguely realistic anime AI babe and I ALWAYS click "show less like this" AND YET they keep coming back!!!!!

The things I learn on the internet
Ever wondered why walking around museums is weirdly tiring? At normal speed our legs act like pendulums, swinging forward from the hip & saving us a huge amount of energy. In "museum shuffle" our muscles must do ALL the work of constant readjustment. So cake in the cafe is scientifically justified 🥳

imagine bluesky was a public community message bulletin board (a physical board with physical notes on it) and every bluesky post was a card on it.

You know this is public and that anyone can see what you post on it.

Nothing stops anyone from keeping a record of the day’s bulletin.

That’s this.
New from 404 Media: Bluesky may have said it won't use user data to train generative AI, but someone else just published a dataset of million Bluesky posts for "machine learning research". Already very popular dataset, your data may be scraped www.404media.co/someone-made...
Someone Made a Dataset of One Million Bluesky Posts for 'Machine Learning Research'
A Hugging Face employee made a huge dataset of Bluesky posts, and it’s already very popular.
