The vast majority of what’s happening is communal self-defense. It’s not an about agitating or escalating. The whistles, the honking, the yelling — these are efforts by people to warn and protect their neighbors. 2/3

if you don’t live in minneapolis and you’re just watching from afar you need to get familiar with ring theory and stop venting your anger at us, it’s inappropriate and not helpful to have people who do not live here replying to us with negative emotions. stop putting that on us

One of my favorite shows growing up in Minnesota was "Little House on the Prairie". There was one building in Walnut Grove that was the school, church and town hall. Whenever there was a threat, the community would gather there and support each other. We use the internet now, but it's the same thing

The anti-pedestrianization folks are sending emails telling us to vote against "permanent closures". Make sure that the other commissioners hear your voice and support!
Minneapolis people: If you support opening parkways to people on occasion - share your support by noon today by emailing OpenTime@minneapolisparks.org or attend this evening's park board meeting.

Thanks to @olsenforparks.bsky.social for helping support this measure.

Walz called Trump weird during the election and it hurt his feelings. If Trump is disrespected he gets his petty revenge, even with allies like Boebert and Greene. Thats why Walz has a target on his back along with Minnesota and Minneapolis.

4 Days to Election Day: A reminder that Ward 10 candidate Lydia Millard will pretend to be whoever you need her to be.
Here she is in April saying that bike, pedestrian, and transit improvements "penalize the majority of people who drive" to "cater to a small minority." Pure transportation resentment politics. Farthest thing from a bike advocate.

Legitimately mad about this. Lots of people in Ward 10 want to vote for the candidate who support alternative transportation. Lydia Millard should stop lying to voters about being a bike advocate. She has very explicitly campaigned against bike, pedestrian, and transit infrastructure.
