Was an interesting weekend to finish this book to say the least, but wanted to recommend MARTYR! to anyone who hasn’t read it. Just astoundingly beautiful prose (you can tell the author is a poet), with so much to say about the stories we tell about ourselves and others.

And these psychopathic corporations have governments in their pockets.

The system is suicide.

Best timeline lift.
My partner & I were trying to ID a bird we heard while walking and the guy who had stopped his car to let us pass got out and was like "it's a frog, actually. Cope's Gray. I do frog surveys... Sorry" And then got in his car without a word and drove off. Absolute king

This is an excellent point.
Relatedly, if you haven't been in an archives you have no idea just how much historical material is not online, not even a digital record of it. An LLM cannot research data it doesn't have. It can't even extrapolate where to find that material.

Senator Grassley's new version of the budget bill would limit the power of judges to block President Trump's unconstitutional actions.

They're trying to sneak this in behind our backs — but we're not backing down.
