well this was an unexpected delight to wake up to 💜
it's been a tough year, and setting the sequel down until I found some equilibrium was the right choice, but it hurt my heart. I've been feeling so much better lately, and this was a perfect little lift in my wings right when I needed it. 💜💜💜

rookie mistake in the final lap: thought the recipe for the cheesy garlic thumbprints said 8 TABLESPOONS of butter, but it was 8 OUNCES, aka 2 sticks not 1. I even thought to myself as I was whipping it up that it didn't look like enough butter for the volume of ingredients. trust your gut!!

it's finally COLD cold here so the kitchen is hopping. potato soup for freezing, black bean burgers for dinners for the week, and whipping up some bacon jam to put on garlic parmesan asiago thumbprint cookies 😈

thrilled to share that the library's marketing department used AI to make the cover design for our program magazine and it mangled our logo and they didn't notice until they printed them so now we have to throw away thousands of magazines and spend thousands of dollars reprinting them 👍👍
