The CBSA said it will continue to recognize Nexus cards with X gender markers until they expire, but that trans and non-binary travellers will have to choose between M and F when renewing their membership or applying for a new card.

(1/2) I think I'm finally ready to say this. I spent the last week in detox, and now, for the first time in ... I don't even know how long ... I've been 4 days completely sober, no cravings at all. It is very strange, almost bewildering, but at the same time, completely awesome.

Now seems to be a great time to remind people that queer sexuality, while often criminalized, is actually a grass roots phenomenon.

![Perhaps most concerningly, the Supreme Court adopts extremely transphobic rhetoric concerning transfeminine lesbians.
The Court concludes that a lesbian “must be a [AFAB] female who is sexually oriented towards (or attracted to) [AFAB] females”. The Court concludes that female here cannot include trans women, as the “concept of sexual orientation” would be “rendered meaningless”, and in its opinion, wrongly affect the composition of lesbians as a group.
The Court claims this would lead to an “inevitable loss of autonomy and dignity for lesbians”. It points to evidence from gender-critical groups like the LGB Alliance and The Lesbian Project to make this argument. They claim the inclusion of trans women is having a ‘chilling effect on lesbians’ to associate in lesbian-only spaces. I am deeply, deeply thankful for the differences between USA Walmart and the Canadian Walmart. I have been nothing but supported as a trans person at my CA Walmart. Obviously there are less supportive individuals, but the company itself has been 100% resolute in their affirmation of my rights!
