This is long overdue - the Vagrancy Act continues to be used to criminalise 100s of homeless people 200 years after it was brought in!

I've been drawing attention to this cruel approach and calling for a focus on root causes - investing in housing & health services.

Rough sleeping to be decriminalised after 200 years
The Government has confirmed it will repeal the outdated Vagrancy Act 1824 by Spring next year, to ensure rough sleeping is no longer a criminal offence.

BREAKING THIS MORNING📢

Aberdeen is one of eight council areas trialling free school meals for S1-S3 pupils, after the @scottishgreens.org won funding for this scheme in this year's ScotGov budget.

Incredibly proud that Green policies are making a difference for families in the North East!

Experiments show that when bees are exposed to microplastic pollution, their memory gets so muddled they may forget the scents associated with sugary rewards.

As a result, pollination may fail — which is bad news for flowers and crops.
Microplastics may confuse bees and other insects, hurting pollination
Recent studies have shown that tiny pieces of plastics can make bees more susceptible to bacteria and viruses.

Under-22s with long-term illnesses or disabilities will no longer be able to claim health top-up on universal credit under UK govt plans.

66,000 18 to 21-year-olds will lose it.

People can't easily see GP, dentist, get access to hospital but will lose benefit.

This is reckless and brutal.
Under-22s will not get incapacity benefits under welfare shake-up

This sentence - "decades to come, these trees... will form a temperate rainforest" - struck me.

It's not often that the long term view is reported on like this. We need more of that...

More than 2,500 native trees have been planted to form a temperate rainforest in decades to come

The Greens, the LibDems, Plaid Cymru, all did better at the last election than ever.

They all have very good, progressive immigration policies.

Nobody has a clue what they are though. The media only GAF about anti-migrant politics.
surely the disillusionment comes in part from the media not covering Green or LibDem policy, but amplifying RW ideaology? A balanced media, focussed on facts would greatly help

Tesla just announced that sales fell in Q4, and its shares dropped ~4%.

Nota bene ⤵️
Musk's source of cash is loans secured by Tesla stock. If the stock price goes down low enough, he has to sell stock to meet the margin call, fueling the downward spiral. This makes him vulnerable in ways that no other oligarch is. If you think Musk is a problem, Tesla is your attack surface.
