A thread for new film releases I see in the cinema in 2025:

Nosferatu - Absolutely (darkly) exquisitely shot but has slightly unfortunate Eggers-goes-mainstream vibes. 7/10. #filmsky

Dr. Sleep (2019)

Ewan McGregor is such a fun presence, and Rebecca Ferguson as Rose the Hat has got to be a horror movie all time villain.

I was reflecting earlier - having rewatched the Mr Bean section of the London 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony (which is perfect in many ways) - how Britain really hasn't experienced much of a sustained, unifying feelgood factor since then.

Completed the Bampton Woods circular walk today, nice little route with just the one slightly hilly section.

England are world champions.

After back-to-back defeats in the previous two World Cup finals, the host nation overcome a spirited Canada to win the tournament in front of a record crowd for women's rugby.

It means their only loss in 64 games came in the final against New Zealand in 2022.
