Not all those who wander are lost.

Gosh I thought I was the only person on the planet who felt that way lol 😜

I really like this film until the last 5 minutes which really ruin it for me.

That’s great news, Thamesmead has been crying out for more integrated public transport as long as I can remember.

I wasn’t lol it’s more that you have Apple TV and didn’t know the film existed that’s ironic.

It’s an Apple Original as well, lol.

It only had a fairly limited cinema release but I remember thinking it looked good at the time but somehow never got round to seeing it, MM does the whole messed up person with a heart of gold role really well too!

Nuremberg - Crowe and Malek are compelling in their scenes together, and its underlying message resonates with current world events, but this is film that definitely would have benefited from a much tighter narrative focus. 7/10. #filmsky

Heck this bead of sweat should have been Oscar’s nominated….

Frankenstein - this supposed “reimagining” of Shelley’s classic was actually a bit too on the nose for my taste, but it’s held together by a beautifully poignant performance by Jacob Elordi and, as one expects from Del Toro, it’s certainly a visual treat. 7/10. #filmsky

One of those times when the Oscar narrative became too much about one actor and not enough about the film as a whole. Like Ben Affleck is super good too but hardly got a look in.

Dead Man’s Wire - a gem of a film that is among the most impressive “based on real life” takes of recent years. It finely balances tension and humour, has an accomplished supporting cast and Skarsgård is dynamite in the lead role . Absurd that Van Sant shot this in only 19 days. 9/10. #filmsky

Don’t see how it’s feasible to make that timeline at all.

Bugonia - a darkly satirical film which delights in flipping the audiences expectations on their heads. Stone and Plemons are tremendous in roles that lesser actors could not pull off. 9/10. #filmsky

Yeah I think at that time a lot of people still accepted the ‘balancing the books will magically fix everything’ narrative.

Boy George & Culture Club - this documentary is at its best when digging in to the bands origins but more diplomatic than insightful when dealing with the later more difficult times. Still, the band members are never less than engaging and it’s nicely presented. 7/10. #filmsky

Basically the template for Jaws if you think about it 😉
