This is niche but here goes: the long anticipated (by me) Bill Bigelow Zinn Education Constitutional Convention lesson plan just dropped two weeks before I am hitting that topic and I am EXCITED.

I spent a full week in law school Evidence class learning how fingerprints are complete nonsense, and ever since I find myself constantly having to cough up $55 to be fingerprinted again and again.

The number 1 crisis point issue in this country right now is lack of faith in public institutions. Everything Trump is doing further undermines public confidence in government, I'd argue by design. Whoever can instead restore faith in public institutions will win the day. But that faith won't just

This makes me feel physically ill.
#BREAKING: Over a (sharp) public dissent from the three Democratic appointees, #SCOTUS clears the way for the Trump administration to remove migrants to third countries *without* giving them an additional opportunity to contest whether they face persecution or other forms of mistreatment there:

I applied for a teaching job where the application took me over 4 hours. For context, at this point even a job that requires a totally unique cover letter is maybe taking me about 45 minutes. What made this 4 hour job special was the district had clearly selected every possible question with

I see a lot of content of Trump voters upset that his policies are impacting them with a string of comments of “you voted for this!” Drives home to me how many Trump voters were so immersed in misinformation that they literally didn’t know what they were voting for even though it was

Including Oct 7, Iran has been behind an escalating series of proxy attacks/wars against Israel. But Israel would never have had the support necessary to directly attack Iran w/out Trump in the White House.

I'm applying to a work in a district with an endless application. I can tell from applying to so many districts that the reason it is endless is the software portal suggests questions and they literally selected all of the suggested questions. But it's a good school and short commute so we persist!

I’m not a big conspiracy theorist, but if I were I’d say they’re going to keep pushing The Big Lie so that when it comes out they rigged 2024 they can both sides it.
Context note: DOJ doesn’t turn over evidence to Congress if they have a viable investigation in the works.

ICE just arrested Brad Lander, the NYC Comptroller and one of the leading candidates for Mayor, without grounds.

He was conducting routine immigration court work, escorting individuals from hearings.

He asked ICE for their warrant - well within his legal rights.

This is political intimidation.
Whoa! NYC mayoral candidate and current city Comptroller Brad Lander seemingly arrested at the NYC immigration court while attending to escort someone attending their hearing.
Lander just got detained by federal agents as he tried to escort a man out of the courtroom. Lander was taken in an elevator with masked agents, along with one member of his NYPD security detail.

I’ve dreamed of going to the World Cup for over 20 years. Through the political chaos I’ve been clinging to the fact that it will be in my city next year! But now FIFA can’t sell tickets to the Club World Cup and there’s intense pressure to pull out of the US. 😭😭

A vivid reminder the Republicans have turned to authoritarianism because their wildly unpopular policy goals cannot be achieved in a democracy.

Republicans have now arrested a US senator, a judge, a mayor, and a Congressional staffer, and have indicted a Congresswoman. And all for made-up crimes. This isn't going to stop. The media is failing us. We're not heading toward authoritarianism - we're in a dictatorship right now.

We're here to liberate the city from its elected leaders.
Kristi Noem: "We are not going away. We are staying here to liberate the city from the socialists and the burdensome leadership that this governor and that this mayor have placed on this country and what they have tried to insert into the city."

Sen. Alex Padilla is then forcibly removed!
