Blue states have high opinions of themselves, but I never got asked questions like this applying to teaching positions in Texas. It is not the first example I have seen of questions designed to weed out disabled applicants.

A small victory, but at the Museum of Science you can play this game where you hit the button to guess when 1 minute has passed, and on my turn I got it at 59 seconds. This is where pacing lessons has brought me. I am one with space and time!

Recently I saw a discussion about the inadequate depiction in film of platonic but deep relationships between straight men. But one good depiciton of such a friendship is between Max Bialystock and Leo Bloom in The Producers (1967). What are other examples? #filmsky

Not a lot of silver linings here, but apparently the New York Times has decided I still count as "young." For context, I once read a description of a website in the newspaper and dreamed one day I might visit a website myself.
