There are no more “principaled Republicans.” If there were, two or three of them would simply caucus with the Democrats and start to hold this lawless administration accountable of its crimes.

It's not clear that Mandelson gained anything much for betraying his friends, party and country, so why did he do it?
Epstein's empire was built on dodgy money, greed, perversion, kompromat and blackmail.
Wouldn't it be funny if Mandelson ended up pulling the whole debauched stink-heap down.

Hang on a minute!
If Starmer can put together a dossier overnight he must have had immediate access to incriminating documents. So...
Why did this not turn up when Manelson was vetted for ambassador?
In any case, why wasn't Mandelson's treachery discovered many years ago?

Mandelson has suffered from venal disease his entire life.
Peter Mandelson should be charged for insider trading; passing on classified government docs to a Wall Street guy; and coaching US bankers, specifically JP Morgan’s Jamie Dimon, to threaten the Chancellor over his plans to tax banker bonuses: www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
Faisal Islam: Mandelson, Darling and the conversation I can't forget
The Epstein files appear to give extraordinary context to a call between the former chancellor and JP Morgan's boss.

Forget about Starmer's poor judgement appointing him as ambassador, why the hell did Mandleson accept? He must have known this was likely to come out with the release of the Epstein Files.

Why wouldn't this be treason?
Ooof!

Mandelson is in deep shit.

Dan Neidle about the release documents from the Epstein files stating Mandelson forwarded sensitive government information to Epstein which would be helpful to Epstein’s clients?

Mandelson's long career of grovelling to the rich and powerful like a pig looking for truffles is disgusting.
Hopefully, he'll now withdraw from public life.

Surely it would be considered rude for a 56 year old Prince not to join in with a game of Twister with a 26 year old.

I am sick of news readers and comontators reporting on Trump with a smile and a slight laugh, as if they find him amusing rather than terrifying. Would they have done this when Hitler was in his ascendancy?

Hmm. Seems the EU got a much better and more wide ranging trade deal with India than the one negotiated by the UK last year. How can that happen after the UK liberated itself from the EU in order to negotiate better deals ? It’s almost as if we were lied to!

We need to talk about the rise of "smol bean fascism" where you have all the guns and the immunity but the really scary people are the ones with whistles and phone cameras and they're giving you generational trauma and ptsd by filming you killing people for no reason

The rightful fury that Trump's appalling comments have caused should have started when the Capitol was attacked on January 6th. We should all have been as furious then as it's possible to get, and never stop until he's in prison.
🚨 BREAKING: Keir Starmer has called on Donald Trump to apologise for his "insulting and frankly appalling" comments about British troops in Afghanistan 👏

Where is Trump delivering his rantalogue today?
January 23, 2026 at 1:11 PM
Hey Trump
I wanna buy Mar-a-Lago.
What? It's not for sale?
Perhaps you get the point now!
Maybe I should take it by force then.
It would certainly be in the National Interest of the US to take Mar-a-Lago and throw you in jail.
Traitor.

Good idea
“Danish citizens are organising a huge boycott that includes cancelling planned holidays in the US, cancelling subscriptions to on-demand services based in the US & more generally, recommending the use of EU services instead of those provided by American platforms.”

So, same as Canadians.

From what I can see on Sky News the highlight from Davos today is that many people are happy that something they can't explain turns out to be better than something else they can't explain, for reasons they can't explain.
Is that about right?

In any sane world, that letter from Trump to Norway would be enough for him to be immediately removed from power. I doubt that even the Democrats will say anything substantial about it. We're all fucked.
