I learned something new about dementia today. I belong to a support group and I asked this question. I was shocked to learn this is normal and is called Showtime. It’s fine with me that he has a good visit with family and friends.

What else would you call it?... Thousands of people concentrated into buildings meant for much less... not even meant for people. Associated stigma also holds true... sexual abuse, slavery, starvation, withholding of meds, constant lighting, lack of blankets/comfort/needs, lack off privacy, death.

It's great to live in a country (Canada, Japan, UK, France, Germany, Sweden, Italy, etc.) where citizens don't worry about if the next election will be canceled, if they will be allowed to register to vote, if they will have to stand in line for hours to vote, or if their vote will be counted.
