An influx of scammers asking for $ has changed the way I respond. I used to just block/mute accts that followed me to beg for a donation. I started adding them to my mod blocklist today so that those subscribing may be able to avoid the harassment. Hopefully Bsky will do something about the scourge.
I've been inundated by scammers asking for $$$ recently. Sad stories & emotional pics might pull at heart strings, but most, if not all, are scams & there are plenty of legitimate ways to help fellow humans who are struggling. Social media isn't one of them! NEVER DONATE TO SOCIAL MEDIA ASKS!
