High winds can make driving dangerous. If driving during windy conditions, slow down and keep two hands on the wheel, avoid large trucks and trailers, and watch for downed tree branches, trees and power lines. Bridges and overpasses can be particularly dangerous.

Maybe this is why I'm not a Beltway journalist, but I think the fact the United States is about to invade Venezuela to take their oil is an 100X bigger story than Trump's chief of staff going on the record with Captain Obvious characterizations of their dysfunctional regime

Forty-five years later, the effects of the 1980 eruption are still felt by the communities downriver from Mount St. Helens.

Earlier today, KGW in Portland reported on sediment from the volcano continuing to fill river channels, raising flood risks, as made all too real these last few days.

YOUR ELECTRIC BILL IS GOING EVEN HIGHER:

It's bad.
Payrolls fell -105k in October and rose +64k in November. August and September payrolls were also revised down a total of 33k.

These data suggest VIRTUALLY NO EMPLOYMENT GROWTH since April ("Liberation day").

Unemployment is now up to 4.6%.

This is a tricky report, so stay tuned.

If you get your groceries anywhere other than Walmart, Trump and his cronies have ensured you're paying a higher price for your Lays, Gatorade, and Pepsi
1. For at least 10 years, Pepsi has conspired with Walmart to force up grocery prices. That’s the shocking evidence made public today in an unsealed FTC lawsuit. The suit was abandoned in May by the Trump FTC just before it was to be un-redacted. We went to court to get it unsealed & won.

Notice the pattern: help a narrow group loudly, hurt everyone else quietly. Tariffs help a few steel workers but raise prices for every firm using steel. Tax cuts favor the rich while squeezing social programs. Politically noisy wins, economically costly losses.

Yule ≠ Christmas

Yule is one of the oldest winter solstice festivals, with origins among the ancient Norse thousands of years ago.

Although today it’s heavily associated with, and even confused with, Christmas, the celebration existed long before Christianity. 🧵⬇️
