Bovino’s retirement needs to be a cage. His command environment yielded Renee Good’s death, Alex Pretti’s death & Julio Sosa-Celis’ shooting. Failure to prosecute Bovino & everyone else materially responsible for these atrocities will be understood by ICE, CBP, etc as a green light for the next ones

We get that Republicans want to argue that “you shouldn’t” protest or film agents, or that it’s “a bad idea.” But it’s a right. That means you don’t get to decide whether someone gets to do it if that’s how they choose to protest. It also means agents can’t kill people who do.

Trump’s contemplated annexation of Greenland and his attempt to create a Board of Peace are manifestations of the same impulse: Trump wants to do whatever he wants, wherever he wants, unconstrained by any checks or balances, and he would like to make a lot of money doing it. wapo.st/46dUKAF

I can’t think of something more un-American than a federal law enforcement agency that can:

Enter homes without a judicial warrant.
Patrol our streets in unmarked vehicles.
Demand papers at random.

ICE has become a threat to our American freedoms.

The regime obviously thought they'd be able to take out a few dozen scary-queer-weirdo Antifa types in black masks and then successfully cow the rest of the Coastal Elite Liberal class into terrified silence: they were not expecting "totally fearless mass nonviolent resistance by entire cities."
It also sounds like at least some of them thought the cameras wouldn't matter because they were assuming that a couple of public executions would cause all of the resistance to run and hide.

This is the one major hope, too, with their monomaniacal demand for a civil war and why granting it to them is folly. L.A., D.C., Chicago, all show that non-violent resistance works, and these people are completely stumped by it. They also lack psychopaths who'd shoot artillery into the crowds.
I think MAGA writ large is slowly realizing that successfully convincing a majority of the country to passionately hate you is not nearly as fun as they thought it was gonna be.
