Yeah, my Parkin is fucking amazing as always. Went really well with custard tonight. The perfect autumn treat. And my husband doesn’t like Parkin so I’m hoping for no visitors to get it all to myself.

I’ve made my annual two batches of Parkin. One for the office, one for the house. I’m the only one at home who likes it and I’ve made sure we’re expecting no visitors, so batch two is all mine.

The infuriating thing around here is that one of the bus companies makes it difficult to use the train. Outside peak times the bus route goes via the railway station but during peak times they bypass the station because they want full fares into Glasgow rather than local fares to the station.

Honestly, I’ve never felt so free since then. It’s like breaking an addiction.

I really miss Twitter on HESA-deadline-eve. That sense of community, chatting with the other poor sods working until stupid o’clock in the morning, bitching about Data Bloody Futures, and getting answers to stupid questions when my brain stopped working due to exhaustion.

Fucking hell. Tonight my husband asked for a bit of help with Excel. It turns out Copilot is a fucking liar (quelle surprise) and told him that an ‘or’ statement can’t be used with a text string. Fuck. I’ve been doing the impossible since 2012.
