The Russians have no intention of ending the war they started under any circumstances.

The purpose of leaking the “peace plan” and then the wiretap of Witkoff is to demonstrate Moscow has complete control over Trump and the U.S. government.

Anyway this is one of the reasons local journalism is dying and people don’t want to support their papers when they do crap like this and then fire the journalist who call it out

In response to this claim that the "strategy didn't work."

The people were on our side. We were building momentum to help save our democracy. We could have won - the premium increase notices were just starting.

And giving in now will embolden him. Things will likely get worse.

But his assertion that diversity weakens unions ignores two things. First, labor unions have a long history of multiethnic coalitions. Second, it was the capitalists and political elites who tried to *exploit* ethnic divisions to maintain power. There is only one person here trying to stop unions:

Here’s the original clip of Ronald Reagan from April 25, 1987, where he delivered a complete and total rebuke against tariffs. Trump's calling Reagan’s words here “FAKE” and “fraudulent.” They’re 100% real. And the original clip is actually far worse for Trump, as much is left out of the ad:

... by the way, if he had been stopped back then, the White House would still be completely...

“It’s pretty surprising that their red line doesn’t include tearing down the White House”

but it didn’t include insurrection, rape, and child sex abuse so it shouldn’t be surprising at all.

The Democrats need to get a hell of a lot of cameras on the White House and plaster the photos everywhere. It's not just the brazen symbol of a megalomaniac destroying national heritage; it's happening during a government shutdown when ordinary people aren't getting paid. Make every American see it.

👇🎯 This is how governing works in literally every actual democracy around the world. If you don’t have the votes, it’s up to you to make concessions to the minority parties. It’s not their job to save you from your responsibility to govern by giving you things you don’t have the votes for already.
Sounds like Republicans ought to get all the Republicans who form the Republican majorities in the Republican-led House and the Republican-led Senate together to pass the budget that Republicans wrote with the Republican White House and that Republicans now insist absolutely must be passed.

What strikes me is how many places (restaurants, gyms, etc) have Fox on all day, and the hosts become the companions of the people who work there. They won't tune to another net, or local, because that's boring. Fox is 24/7 entertainment - with a nice dose of grievance for people watching at work.
Some people do work very hard long hours and then have to do other things like parenting or taking care of old relatives, or whatever. If they are accustomed to Fox it’s probably their go to for relaxing. They aren’t fact checking. They probably think it’s “news” instead of opinion. 🫠

The Trump "Epstein book" strategy was to deny everything, his usual move, now backed up by his party.

Still amazing. No one else in book has claimed that the page/sig wasn't theirs. No one in 2003 thought "I better blackmail future president Donald Trump."

I dunno, maybe the Supreme Court majority could have the decency to bestir themselves to write an actual, you know, opinion, with their names on it, explaining their endorsement of using race and ethnicity as part of a national policy of harassing and intimidating non-white Americans.
BREAKING: By an apparent 6–3 vote, the Supreme Court halts an injunction that had prevented immigration agents from racially profiling Latinos in central California.

Sotomayor, dissenting, says the decision is "unconscionably irreconcilable with our nation's constitutional guarantees."

Bill Clinton was a Rhodes scholar. He wasn't my cup of tea, but he was one of the most naturally gifted politicians of his generation, and he knew how to talk to ordinary voters. It drove Republicans crazy that he could pull that off, but it was a talent and it worked.
I want my politicians to be smarter than the average person, I’ve had enough of the dumbasses destroying our country right now.
