That’s because many American voters get their information from racist trolls who are terrified of cities and encourage their viewership to be scared of everything.
While I agree with you that Democrats must stand up against this military takeover of our streets, opposition to this takeover must also be combined with effective plans to deal with crime. Like it or not, crime is a very salient issue for most American voters.

Add to that the BILLION DOLLARS they just spent to lose all three branches of the government and the Dems just squandered an opportunity to enact generational public works and safety net projects that could have transformed the nation for decades to come.
With over 600k homeless Americans, couch surfing and sleeping outside tonight, it is important to understand that with the 27 billion dollars Biden sent to Israel in the last year, he could have housed every single one of these homeless people. But hey, dems were gonna "save" democracy or whatever.
