When I interviewed & wrote about incarcerated teen girls, I specifically used the language of girls as a rejection of the prison & people within who offered referred to them as young women or ladies. People with power will always describe girls as adults so they can justify the harm they inflict.
Also, "underage women" isn't a thing. If they're under age, they're not women. That's what under age literally means.

This is why the US military is removing all references to achievements made by African American service members. We much erase their contributions, or else we’ll have to acknowledge that they are intellectually equal to whites.
I mean, this is what white supremacists like Elon want to do — to write Africans out of history of the world and to present Africans and those of African descent as essentially subhuman.
