Star Wars: Young Jedi Masters has to be the worst franchise entry since the Disney acquisition. At least in Christmas Special, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fischer were having fun.

NARA once rejected my FOIA request for a presentation that an official had given on May 17, 2000. I had listed the conference as “AMA“; the denial said that official had not given any presentation on that date to an organization with those initials.

Turns out it was the AAM conference. 😐

In an effort to get back under 1,000 followers, I'll be skeeting random ways that agencies have justified rejection public records requests. So far, I've got 1,459 exemptions logged, but I've got 26,156 rejected requests to sift through so plenty of material.

Flashback to 2020—

On December 19, Trump tweeted, “Big protest in D.C. on January 6th. Be there, will be wild!”

Almost overnight, the cheapest room in his D.C. hotel on that January evening surged from $476 to $1,999.

I asked my students to create guides to the work they did in my "Exploring News Archives with LLMs" class this semester. Feel like I'm gonna enjoy this one, which starts out:

"Most guides tell you what worked. This one tells you what broke, why it broke, and what I learned from breaking it."
