Last week I asked BOP officials if they had sent tactical teams to Minneapolis. They denied it (left).

Multiple agency sources told me otherwise, and photos from
reporters on the ground soon confirmed BOP folks were there.

Now BOP is finally admitting it (right):

More from the party of federalism: "the states are merely an agent for the federal government in counting and tabulating the votes. They must do what the federal government, as represented by the president of the United States, tells them, for the good of the country, to do."

Congress requires ICE to publish a report within 90 days when someone dies in custody. That deadline has passed in the case of Huabing Xie. If reporting rules aren’t enforced, what safeguards actually exist for people in detention?

Congrats! Another big MA public records win. And glad to see a judge ordering attorney's fees! One of the few things we've seen broadly create culture change at agencies.
NEW: A judge ruled Dec. 30 in my lawsuit that Northwestern DA David Sullivan’s office cannot block the public from seeing the names and case numbers of police officers who have been charged with crimes like possession of child pornography, assault and battery, and driving under the influence.

NARA once rejected my FOIA request for a presentation that an official had given on May 17, 2000. I had listed the conference as “AMA“; the denial said that official had not given any presentation on that date to an organization with those initials.

Turns out it was the AAM conference. 😐
