Annual shout out to all the kids who were *always* the fecking narrator 🙄

I see you, my people!
So - did you take part in a nativity play at school and if so, what part did you play?

I got the part of the frankincense guy - I was the only child in the class who could pronounce the word ...!
Nativity plays have been a much-loved part of the school year in infant and junior schools across the UK for many years. These performances brought the Christmas story to life with a mix of earnestness and unintentional comedy. Classrooms buzzed with excitement as tea towels and

Maybe not ever but a recent one:

Man from Environmental Health dept, standing in our bathroom observing a leak from upstairs neighbour -

"I like your inspection hatch"

THANK YOU kind sir! 🏅😊 Dude knows his leak protections.

Putting it in was my idea and literally nobody else has ever noticed
What is the best compliment you ever received? Putting aside whether or not you believed it.

Just been over at the Mitchell for Aye Write book festival - “debut author @kristiedegaris.bsky.social will be arriving slightly late due to chickens on the A9”

Pleased to confirm that Kristie made it, she was great, and they weren’t kidding about the chickens 🐓

*slinks out of the shadows*

Psssst, hey, hey you. You look like you need some film, buddy. Need a little hit of that emulsion, eh?

*leans in conspiratorially*

I just got some of that GOOD Ilford shit, that XP2. Mmhmm. It just…fell off the back of a truck. You interested?
Welp, this is new!

Every so often I spend my accumulate Boots points to get 'free' film. Arrived like this, complete with security tag.

Visions of some shifty bloke going round the pubs offering rolls of XP2 that fell off a shelf in Boots.

We have lots of student notebooks containing sketches on anatomy, diseases etc, however, this one is by far our favourite. It shows Joseph Lister, father of antiseptic surgery, disappearing through a trapdoor after his lecture in Glasgow in 1868. Now that's how to make an exit!

I was at the hygienist today - she has a new chair because the old one exploded*

Not entirely convinced by the shiny light above it as with the dark specs on you can clearly see the reflection of your own teeth being done 😬

(* I don't know. She did confirm nobody was in it at the time at least)

Good article here about Diane Keaton‘s photography, I had no idea!

Also this quote is #goals. If somebody writes this about you after your death then you are doing it right

I realise there is already a queue to buy a drink for the long-suffering local government official who wrote this. Please consider me part of that queue.

(The weight of the sigh on "We do not apply admiralty law" alone could tear a hole in the fabric of the universe.)

The moment when they fire up the organ and the choir is the moment your soul leaves your body.

Absolutely sublime

I didn’t get video but somebody else did! Thank you kind stranger 😊

It cost me every scrap of capacity I have, and today I am fully unable to leave the hotel room, but we made the trip to see Sigur Rós at the Royal Albert Hall

100% worth it and I don’t regret a thing 🥹

Out of body experience - I think I left a piece my soul on the ceiling of the Albert Hall
