Are there any Greater Glasgow nerr types on here who would be interested in joining the #Bruhammer posse for some #BloodBowl in the near future?

Starting a league soon as a break from our Necromunda campaign and curious to see if any new faces fancy tossing the tabletop pigskin. (Not a euphemism)

My (hardback) copy of this turned up today and is absolutely gorgeous. Gunnerkrigg Court is still one of my favourite webcomics and I'm really enjoying these beautiful omnibus editions.
Gunnerkrigg Court Volume 3 Omnibus from @DarkHorseComics is now available! Here's a link to places you can get either edition from, Hardback and Softcover: www.darkhorse.com/Books/3011-7... and you can also pre-order it from my Topatoco store here: topatoco.com/collections/...

Is this sale happening in Britain? If so, and you're an Audible subscriber who hasn't read this book, get ye to yer device and download and listen to it. It's rather wonderful!
Heads up: If you haven't read A Wizard's Guide to Defensive Baking by @tkingfisher.com (and frankly that's criminal in the first place) and you're on Audible, it's part of the 2 for 1 sale right now. You won't regret it.

It has a possibly sentient, probably murderous sourdough starter in it.

This is well overdue for the city that was the first in the UK to give him the freedom of the city.

My favourite is the Herriot one because I feel it captures some of the joy and mischievousness of Mandela as well, but I like the Guest and Ferriter ones too.

Wait, how is intersex not already a protected characteristic?

When I found out that I'm intersex I knew, statistically, there were lots of other people like me out there, but only about a dozen were publicly visible. It has been a great joy to me to watch this movement grow over the decades and begin to exert real pressure for our human rights to be respected.

We have lots of student notebooks containing sketches on anatomy, diseases etc, however, this one is by far our favourite. It shows Joseph Lister, father of antiseptic surgery, disappearing through a trapdoor after his lecture in Glasgow in 1868. Now that's how to make an exit!

This is a wonderful novella. Just go in being aware that it's a love story. The actual time war didn't feature very much. But the prose is delightful and it's a joy to read.

Green councillors in Glasgow have secured a pilot scheme for free public transport! 🙌

In 2022 we delivered free bus travel for under 22s. It's reduced climate emissions and congestion, and increased mobility and the money in people's pockets.
