This one is one I definitely do regularly.
Without naming your job, tell me something you say over and over again at work.

(This post brought to you after a rather excellent Tchaikovsky concert that was a *little* bit too hot, leading my mind to wander.)

*Attenborough voice*: see the baby violins and violas gambol and play, watched by the adolescent cellos, while the adult double basses keep a watchful eye out for predators, such as trumpets, trombones or herds of clarinets.

I asked a question on StackOverflow about an issue with using an Oracle OCI JDBC driver which is giving me an UnsatisfiedLinkError: stackoverflow.com/q/79884204/8...

If anyone can help, I'd be much obliged. #java #jdbc #oracle #oci

It's ruddy freezing at the moment, but the snowdrops and crocuses by my front door are out, and the daffs are well on their way to budding. It might not feel like it, but spring seems like it's getting ready to spring. #WinterIsLeaving

I have a sudden bee in my bonnet about learning to use a drawing tablet. We've got an old Wacom tablet lying around somewhere and it's currently going to waste.

Can anyone recommend any good resources?

I haven't drawn anything since I was in highschool and I know that learning will be slowwww.

Had our first in-person #rpg session since the Before Times this afternoon. It was mostly an excuse to eat a prodigious amount of crisps, although we did talk to an old man too (and we didn't even kill him!). #NightsBlackAgents

I've never really noticed how beautiful that building is.

It's a damn shame about the loss of the CCA. It's been part of the Glasgow cultural landscape as long as I've been here.
Originally known as Grecian Chambers, the CCA building was designed by Alexander 'Greek' Thomson between 1867 and 1868. Constructed as a three-story commercial property with ground-floor shops and upper-level offices.

Goodness sake, this is awful. As a member of @ucu.org.uk I am appalled by this behaviour and call on the General Secretary to stop any harassment of staff, and reprimand those found to have engaged in it @drjogrady.bsky.social

New planet just dropped and it

1) is almost exactly Earth-sized

2) has a year that's almost exactly 1 Earth year.

3) orbits a star that is not a 💢temperamental little shit M-dwarf 💢but is instead a 🧡 good orange boi 🧡
