The Citizens Theatre has finally reopened after years of redevelopment and I went to see the opening production, Small Acts of Love, with @beckymullen.bsky.social the other day. It's a musical about the Lockerbie disaster and is incredible.

Some good advice from this sign recently put up at the canal (put up by A Sign of Humour).

I get no reviews, but apparently I'm formal, wholesome, strange and nerdy. Not entirely wrong...

I've walked past this van a few times and I really love that logo, and very clever use of negative space.

The 1960s were a crazy time. Who thought it was a good idea who build a building whose two halves had different numbers of floors. And how long did they spend giggling on the floor before taking another hit of the bong?

I walked home along the river today and found this little diorama nestled into the wall by the old mill. #glasgow

Had the day off work today, so I took the opportunity to head down the road to New Lanark. It's a really interesting site, and the nearby Cora Linn waterfall at the Falls of Clyde is stunning.

Had tea with @grace-knight.co.uk today. She decided to take me to a quiet spot on the banks of the Kelvin and make tea with the judicial application of fire! There were false starts, but fire and then tea, and then marshmallows all happened. It was a new experience for me, but a good one.

Had dinner and a fancy (non alcoholic) drink at Afrikana before going to the theatre this evening. The mocktail was delicious (and very fancy), and the food and company were great too.

Very much enjoyed 101 Dalmatians as well, even if technical difficulties meant it started about 50 minutes late.

I'm surprised that you missed the Unicorn! It's only about 10 minutes' walk from the Discovery!

I managed to get to the dealers' room and art show before being struck with the Plague and got a respectable con haul. Looking on the bright side, it may be for the best that my bag space was limited and I wasn't able to go back on subsequent days...

Well crap. I guess I'm going to be doing the rest of #WorldCon2024 virtually. If I was in close contact with anyone, I'm very sorry if I passed it on.

Failed to get into three different programme items in the 1130 slot, but I did then run into Jill Bearup on the secc concourse which was lovely. If you're not following her on YouTube, you're missing a very fun channel.

The cover of the #worldcon2024 souvenir book is gorgeous. Shame about the typo.

I've been unsure who to vote for in this election and I was looking up my MP's voting record. While it's mostly in line with my beliefs, the below is why I won't be voting for her. She's chosen to make my friends' lives harder and less equal. I can't in good conscience vote for that.

Glasgow in midsummer, people! And I'm going to be spending this evening at an outdoor Shakespeare festival! (I'm sure it'll be worth it, it always is). #BardInTheBotanics
