I want to be crystal clear about tariffs:

The consumer will pay for them. If we get hit, we will 100% be passing this on, as will most industries.

NOT enjoying this morning trying to calm the panicked students staring down cuts to funding, summer internships, federally funded programs. I'm glad to be here for them, but sickened by the circumstances!

I can't believe (or maybe I can?) the feds canceled a talk about historical complicity with fascists
I was to give a talk at a big US Attorney's Office next week abt the complicity of German lawyers in the creation of the Nazi state. Yesterday the Justice Department cancelled it.
Irony is dead.
I've got an op/ed on this I'm looking to place. Help appreciated.

Today’s show was my last at CNN. My closing message: It’s never a good time to bow down to a tyrant… don’t give in to the lies. Don’t give in to fear. Hold on to the truth… and hope.

For no reason.
Really.

You’ve certainly seen the controversy and cruelty over the last three minutes of this sermon.

But watch the entire thing. It is less than 15 minutes. You'll be inspired and strengthened for theological and spiritual resistance.

Next up: Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-North Dakota). He apologises for what's "been happening" to Hegseth. He also thanks him for his faith in Jesus Christ.

I thought wow, this is a guy who in today's culture is willing to put Jesus Christ first. You're going to be a great SecDef, Cramer says.

Educators: AI is not inevitable. Sure, we can't put the horse back in the barn, but we also are not required to use it in our teaching and I think there is an ethical framework, as Chuck and others have laid out nicely, for resisting its presence in our courses.
Just in time for the AI policies to go into my syllabi - I've cleared my brain of all of its frustrations regarding generative AI.

I think it's important to resist the stuff. For all of us. And for no greater reason than preserving our humanity.

I think the stakes are that high.
The ethical case for resisting AI
I had my moment of reality regarding generative AI in my chemistry and physics classes this past term. I’ve always had the student frustration “I can’t Google your homework problems!” as a point of…
