It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office.
Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc.

This. Also. @aoc.bsky.social @ericswalwell.bsky.social et al , can you do what ever you guys do in the House to let Musk, Trump and everyone know that the UCFE, which funds unemployment benefits , is in the Dept of Labor. If these funds are cut, the cost will fall on the states.

This is the picture book that the MLK illustration came from. It’s a picture book cookbook that I had the honor of illustrating. It has twelve recipes paired up with twelve Black history figures/stories. The author, Michael Platt, is a baker & food justice advocate. The sequel is coming in May!

Dear creative fam, it is OK to listen to your brain/body and REST. Many folks who work in the entertainment industry and live in LA right now are not well and the pain is shared.
If you are able, mental rest *can* include volunteering bc you're putting your stress elsewhere. Do what makes sense.

I planned on getting writing done today and that ain’t happening. Every time I open the program my brain goes blank, like it’s deliberately refusing to think. I’m going to listen to my mental state and just chill today. If anything comes to me I’ll make a note of it but no active work till tomorrow
