The #PaleBlueDot captures the fragility and beauty of our planet. Taken from billions of miles away, it shows #Earth as a tiny speck of light, suspended in the vast expanse of space. It is a humbling reminder of our place in the universe, and a call to cherish and protect our home.

You're lucky. When my brain and fingers disconnect, I end up sending a message that is 100% grammatically correct, but 100% passive voice. It's the ultimate linguistic betrayal.
WTF, my brain was thinking "Thanks" but my fingers were typing "Danke" ... Never happened to me before ...

I mean, I got confused between languages and code-switched mid-sentence and stuff, but this was 100% disconnect between the language I thought in and what my fingers were doing language-wise.

A #CosmicVision mission, #ESALISA will be first gravitational wave detector in space.

LISA will study these ripples in the fabric of space-time emitted during the most powerful events in the Universe, such as pairs of black holes coming together and merging.

This is one of my favourite space photos.

It's Pluto, backlit by the Sun, imaged by NASA's New Horizons spacecraft in 2015.

Look carefully and you can see the planet's irregular topography and the layering in its atmosphere.
