"Pain colonizes her, quickly replaces what was ... with more and more of itself, and its advance is so forceful, its jagged contours so distinct, that she can't help imagining it as an entity with a life of its own."

The Hours, Michael Cunningham

My grand return to this site, after abandoning my account for a year, involved two full posts dedicated to explaining to 58 entities whether the total number of people in a riddle is 112 or 0. Spoiler: I was only right by realizing I was being too smart for the room. My brain is 90% eliminated. 🤯

Two hours deep into 3D-ifying my childhood sketches with #NanoBanana. Fun activity to burn free time! The Boy™ reigns supreme as the main character, naturally. Can you tell who’s the buddy and who’s the final boss? My childhood brain really thought it was writing a saga 😂

#FunFact: There are 891 confirmed moons in our solar system (so far). As telescopes become more powerful and space missions venture deeper, we’ll likely find more hidden worlds—small, icy, and mysterious—circling the distant giants. The story of our solar system’s moons is still unfolding.

Saw this from this week’s @postsecret.com and realized: I might be the only extremely weird, unhinged laundry warlock who mixes blacks, whites, and grays in one wash and somehow nothing bleeds. 😱 My detergent’s either a wizard, or the machine’s secretly in league with the color gods. 👀

Mario (and everyone from this world), plus this one boy I dreamt up as a kid (found my original sketch from the 2000s!), with his own friends, rivalries, and storylines, all living in a universe I built from imagination alone. I used to map out their adventures like I was coding reality itself. 😃

"All my life I have been too afraid—of my own failings, of the City around me—to really get down to the street and see life as it is. To see what it is that holds me back, that keeps my writings from being anything more than scribblings on a page."

You know you've peaked when your post about 6,000+ exoplanets is ruined by forgetting one tiny symbol (#). Should've just copy-pasted from Mastodon and avoided this cosmic typo! 🤦🏻‍♂️

30YearsofExoplanetDiscoveries: Over 6,000 exoplanets have been confirmed in our galaxy so far, showing incredible variety—some similar to planets in our solar system, others vastly different. Among them are “super-Earths,” mysterious worlds larger than ours and possibly rocky.

Home hides in a quiet corner of the #MilkyWay, a vast spiral galaxy 100,000 light-years wide with arms like luminous highways. #Earth rests in the #OrionArm, a modest spur between #Sagittarius and #Perseus, marked by the #OrionNebula and the #Pleiades cluster.

"But actually when your life has been reduced to the level that mine had, you really don't care about all that much. The old saying 'Poverty lowers the ambition of man' seemed to apply to me. ... he grinned. Chuckling, he said '... Get a stool for yourself and have a seat.'"

I asked an AI (GPT) to define "Earth-dumb," but it didn’t fully understand. I had to explain my meaning first; only then did it start to grasp the concept and discuss it further with me. Earth AI is not yet at the level of deep, abstract reasoning—but it’s getting closer every step.

Launched in 1977, #Voyager1 is humanity’s farthest emissary, over 15 billion miles (24.8 billion km) from Earth, racing at 38,000 mph (17 km/s). It still carries the Golden Record, a time capsule of Earth’s culture, into the uncharted depths of the cosmos.

From blurry to breathtaking: Comparing three views of the #CarinaNebula. #LaSilla, #Hubble, and #JamesWebb show this cosmic landscape in ever greater clarity, illustrating how advances in telescope technology are transforming our vision of the universe and revealing its hidden structures.

"I realized it for the first time in my life: there is nothing but mystery in the world, how it hides behind the fabric of our poor, browbeat days, shining brightly, and we don't even know it."

The Hyperion Cantos (Dan Simmons) can be intimidatingly complex and sprawling. But its blend of epic sci-fi, horror, and profound philosophy creates an unparalleled experience. Give this dense, majestic classic another go – it rewards deep immersin!

Happy #InternationalMoonDay, fellow Earthlings! Shoutout to the Moon—pulling tides, lighting up our nights, inspiring bad poetry… and hasn’t sent us a single bill in 4.5 billion years. How’s that for a long-term commitment?

Not the most dramatic example of what [Google] Pixel’s astrophotography mode can do, but it still blows my mind how easily we can now capture the beauty of the night sky—just point and shoot, and there it is. Stars, galaxies, wonder—all in seconds. Oh, how far we’ve truly come!

"Novelists liked to imagine the interconnectedness of things—as though the people in the big city were part of some great organism, their lives intertwined. ... Foolish, sentimental tricks of the mind, probably. Reality was fragmented." — Edward Rutherfurd, New York

It took effort to dig these from the vault, but here we are. Humans of Earth (a.k.a. Bsky peeps lol), I present: SpongeBob SquarePants, drawn by none other than @mondinspace.bsky.social in the early years. I don’t recall the exact timeline—these were definitely made when I was very, very young.

"If you see this, post your comfort characters."

I know, it’s all over the place. Like when the universe’s managers handed me a clipboard of personalities and said, "Choose wisely," I *accidentally* picked wacky and all genres. So now my tastes clash like a cosmic mashup nobody ordered.

One of my favorite @wikipedia.org articles! Check it out: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fibonac...

This image is a beautiful reminder that math, especially the Fibonacci sequence, shows up everywhere in nature—from flowers to seashells to galaxies. It’s one of those quiet wonders hiding in plain sight.

No revival, but a reunion is "being considered"? That’s Hollywood code for "testing the waters." Say less, hint more...just enough to keep fans buzzing. It’s classic PR maneuvering: build intrigue, spark hope, track reactions. They know exactly how to play this game.
