This is not politics as usual. We are not going to "just vote our way out in three years." We—including you—will need to personally get involved or authoritarianism is here to stay.

A lot more needs to happen, but the place that Democrats have to start if we’re going to survive as a country is to actually engage in politics. They’ve been trying to avoid politics for my entire lifetime, and as long as that continues we are doomed.

Fun fact about US healthcare: After the horror of the DC Guard shooting, victims' families might be on the hook for hundreds of thousands or millions of dollars in medical and rehab expenses. Tricare only covers deployments over 30 days, and their deployment was also illegal.

Grateful to everyone I saw in Philadelphia and Cincinnati and to everyone who protested — and above all to those who organize day after day.
Over the last year, you could have given into anger and despair.

Instead, you’ve organized in the largest numbers this country has ever seen to reclaim the power of the pro-democracy majority.

We could not be more thankful for you and everything you’re doing to defy Trump’s agenda.

There are only 31 days left in the year, but Congress usually doesn’t work nonstop during this time. They’ll only be in session for 12 days between now and the end of the year. Will they extend the ACA or come up with a real plan? I highly doubt it. 🔄

Something democrats could do right now to reduce harm is to loudly and constantly talk about how they will investigate every action taken by this administration and will exact pardon-proof (there’s only one way) punishment for all crimes.
