Hopefully the upcoming refreshed US VW ID.4 (ID Tiguan) will simply adopt the current 2026 Tiguan steering wheel with physical buttons, and not go with another bespoke solution.

My driver training was that at a red traffic light you pull up close, but not too close to the car ahead, apply hand brake, & wait.
But in US approach seems to be stop at random distance from other car, & inch forward continuously, or in little bursts, car by car. Oops I bumped you, don't know how.
