Oh, and my impression is that insofar as there is effective equipment control its focused on international transactions & new kit.

Universities & commercial labs auction off a lot of functional used equipment.

The upside with most BW is that there is a lot of tacit knowledge, if you don’t already know a lot you won’t be able to filter incorrect nonsense, & most of all bio is generally super-fussy & outcomes are not reliable like assembling mechanical devices.

But as you note, simple BW is another game.

This 👆🏻

Court docs are frequently limited in scope, most of all to the specifics that the prosecutor is confident that they can irrefutably demonstrate in court.

There is often a LOT of additional criminal activity that isn’t charged.

(And yes overcharging is also a thing).

Can’t begin to imagine how soul crushing this is for the diplomats, prosecutors, and investigators who devoted years of their lives to bringing this case together, probably at considerable personal risk.

It’s got to have a negative impact on future enforcement efforts.

Naturalized citizens first.

Then regular citizens.

And people over estimate how much a cell-phone needs to cost these days.

Can easily pay no more than 40per month for a 5g plan.

Some folks have this weird mental space of “I seek the cheapest cellphone plan known to humanity but homeless must be paying 1980s prices so they’re faking.”

So, the turtles are trying to protect that unconscious woman from a half naked psycho trying to stab her, right?

It is, which is certainly an additional plus, but it also looks like a billy club, shape wise.

And I’ve travelled enough to know that Europeans have a wide range of sausage shapes, so i wonder, shape or lense.

Never having had the please of Norway.

Straight up curious, not trolling, or trying to be funny.

Is that an oddly shaped sausage specific to Norway, or just a lens effect?

Presumably a legacy of all those aristocratic types placing gentlemen’s wagers or some such nonsense.

So bizarre.
November 25, 2025 at 8:49 PM
How is it not?

Next you’ll be telling me gambling income isn’t taxable, but gambling losses are deductible.

But that would be ridiculous.

Perhaps we can just burn a stack of money ala the Joker and save a whole lot of time on hearings, design revisions, etc.

Oh, put aside 5% to pay some folks to make a separate stack of PPTs

Initial takeaway.

List makers really like Cary Grant.

Truly NEVER too soon for that one.

The fun one is when your doctor “randomly” tells you that given your age it would be good to familiarize yourself with the symptoms of heart attack and stroke.

“Not saying that there is any cause for concern.”

Loved the train from the airport into Helsinki. So smooth and painless.

And quiet.

Munich on the other hand, c’mon man!!
