I'm my limited life experience, a sex worker is more useful in most emergencies than a majority of police officers.
These sex workers have more bravery than any cop. Good for them.
[Mexico City, Mexico]

Following the attempted murder of a trans woman. Cops just let the alleged perp go. So actionists from the Mexican sex workers union stormed the judicial building.

Why do people seriously insist that these two people are actually democrats?
BREAKING: Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema have cast decisive votes against Biden's NLRB nominee. This means the Democrats will not secure control of the national labor regulator through 2026. These two Senators effectively handed Trump control of the board when his term begins.

God I hope these aren't real. They immediately become the worst brand in the league if so, and that's unacceptable from the first W team in Canada.

If you can't identify the position you're compromising from, then it's not compromise, it's just agreement.
"There is an important role for compromise in American politics, but when compromise becomes a candidate’s virtue and calling card, voters wonder what underlies it, if anything." prospect.org/politics/202...
What Is the Democratic Party?
The inability to answer that question informs the election result.

I'd forgotten all about Nestor...
Just an incredible sentence to appear in a news story about the man who might be the next attorney general.

Yep. This also explains the bizarre focus on linguistic changes.

A wealthy, middle-aged political pundit cannot imagine being forced to move states to access HRT but he can imagine someone scolding him about misusing they/them pronouns. It's anxiety and animosity all the way down.
this gets to the point i keep making. to the media elites who are obsessed with anti-wokeness, something like mass deportation is a total abstraction whereas they are annoyed, on a daily basis, by their supposedly “woke” younger colleagues and social media antagonists
Top point from @stephenkb.bsky.social on the weighting voters give to "woke" v real issues.

What it looked like outside Moulton's office today, curtesy of Jonathon Cohn.

Democrats should not leave LGBTQ+ people behind. They are a large part of the Democratic base, a force with real voting power, and should not be taken for granted.

NYC & Boston are the only two cities in America that force tenants to pay for brokers that were hired by landlords, as @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social points out in his video.

Today, NYC just banned forced broker fees—bringing down the cost of housing for renters.

Boston: ball’s in your court.
BREAKING: The NYC City Council just passed a bill banning mandatory broker fees for renters.

The legislation mandates that the party that hires the broker must pay the fee.
