Schumer needs to go. Jeffries needs to go. Both weak, useless and not up to the task of leading opposition to an increasingly fascist Republican Party. Every one of these congressmen who capitulate need to be primaried.

I think when the left says "you can't elect these appeasing centrist losers, all they have ever historically succeeded at is paving the way for a massive shift to the right" people take it as like, cynical politicking rather than the only sane people in politics saying a true thing

In recent months, federal agents have arrested dozens of teenagers who at one point were in government custody as unaccompanied children. Some were arrested on their 18th birthdays– at government shelters.

She was eventually let go, per David Goodhue of the Miami Herald, who also took this footage:

We need more small, economic cars on the roads instead of all these $60,000 10ft tall kid crusher 2500s that you see everywhere nowadays.
Trump made an odd pivot to economical cars, saying that he actually wanted to see more of them.

Across the country, voters support many of Zohran Mamdani's ideas, including:

-Increasing taxes on the rich
-Universal childcare
-Freezing rent
-Raising the minimum wage

Everything Democrats do must focus on enacting popular policies that help working people.

That is the path forward.

If the Dems blink after all of this, for a deal that all but ensures no ACA subsidies in 2026 anyway, then what was the purpose of letting the shutdown go for 40 days in the first place?

Trump is 30 points underwater. Dems swept the special elections. People know the GOP is responsible for the shutdown. So the Dem Senators pulled out their big guns... and shot themselves in the foot.

I’m already seeing people insist that even with this capitulation the Democrats will still sweep 2026 because Trump is that bad. It was precisely that attitude that gave us 2024.
