I got a working 8mm movie camera for $15 at a thrift store today. I won't know for a long while if there are any issues though since I have to get film and then have it developed, but still pretty a cool find!
It can even take single shots which is perfect for what i wanted to do with one of these.

quick oldschool material test in photoshop in the vein of the goldsrc mod work i was doing in the mid 00s, just photoshop filters & basic round brush used, all mouse work.
250x150px & truecolour (though it looks nearly identical with a 256 colour palette as the HL1 engine would use)

when i say "you're never gonna get it changed" i don't mean there's some good technical reason for that by the way. there's not. if you're left out of the credits of a game it's on purpose. otherwise they would fix it. they can fix it whenever they want but that's happened like twice in history
