you'll notice that part of the reason this is so difficult - that basic things like "the best way to prevent boys from going down the tate fan route is to not differentiate the boy and the girl and not assume a child must grow into a specific gender of adult" - is because Heterosexuality is a regime
we basically have to take a sledgehammer to cisness & the whole concept of binary sex on the path to sex as a whole if we ever want a unification of feminist and queer politics that can liberate all women & lgbtq people. the bare minimum here is mainstreaming the idea that bodies exist in continuity

I wish that instead of being embarrassed of games with older graphics and seeing them as something to be updated, that game companies would see these older graphics as art worthy of being preserved and celebrated and studied.
