A colleague told me that they have done that several times before and before was even worse, for me they gave me two days for handover, for other people it was the same day on the afternoon. I know there's no good way to fire someone, but why did they chose the worst way and then just say "we good?"

Here I know I don't have any risk of my old company colleagues finding me... I literally was just told that the terrible way my company informed me that I was not only not going to be renewed but also didn't need to come back to the company again (I wasn't exactly fired) is normal there
