Maybe I'm confused on the current state of Ex post facto law prohibition. Law school was quite a while ago and this isn't my area.
I thought that Art. 1, section 9, clause 3 of the U.S. Constitution, as interpreted under Beazell v. Ohio and Weaver v. Graham, was still good law. 🤔
