Call the United States Capitol switchboard at (202) 224-3121 and they will connect you with your senator's office.

If you're represented by one of the squishier centrists, be sure to make a call. Now.
Sounds like the squishes in the senate caucus are ready to pull the plug with no ACA changes. This is real. If you want to register your opinion you shld call yr senator in the next hour. They not only want to reopen w/nothing. They want cover from their colleagues who still want to hold out.

Feels like the Democrats should maybe put up a website showing all of the Trump Flight Cancellations?
United starting to post its Trump Flight Cancelations for Friday and the #CursedRoute is taking a 50% hit.

“Your flight is canceled due to FAA-mandated airspace restrictions during the government shutdown.“

With Apple and Google loaning their app stores to authoritarians, our tech press should be asking: what are the alternatives? And why is Apple working so hard to suppress the web?

But they are not asking those questions:

The App Store Was Always Authoritarian - Infrequently Noted
Apple bent the knee for months, leaving many commentators to ask why. But the reasons are not mysterious: Apple wants things that only the government can provide, things that will defend and extend…

Five of the six projects associated with the PNW Hydrogen Hub are in strongly conservative areas. Vought is killing jobs in MAGA land. Slow clap…
Russell Vought's sick little power trip will also hurt GOPers. One project he's cutting is the Pacific Northwest Hydrogen Hub, which spans Oregon, Washington, and...Montana. The state's GOP governor has hailed it for creating "good-paying Montana jobs." Oops.

Another brutal jobs report. The economy lost 32,000 jobs in September, and August was revised from +54,000 all the way down to -3,000. That’s not just a slowdown—it’s a collapse. The economy is clearly in trouble under Trump, and Republicans are still in total denial.

Fuck, and I cannot emphasize this enough, yes.
Many media types and Dems continue to operate as if Trump is a politically invincible figure, a "Teflon Don." But in truth he's becoming an increasingly weak, failing, diminished, unpopular, naked-emperor figure, and it's time to treat him as such. 1/

Trump Is a Weak and Failing President, and It’s Time to Say So
It’s possible for Trump to be an inept buffoon—but still extremely dangerous. And it shouldn’t be so hard to make that case.

Trump has been president for less than 5 years – about 2% of the history of this country. He's responsible for 22% of the national debt. The budget issue is a Republican long con that has worked spectacularly with people who don't believe in facts.
