It is often the case that people you thought you could count on will let you down; sometimes others you never considered will step up. And sometimes if you are very lucky, some health care providers will actually do their job. The struggle is real. Thank goodness for cats and dogs and cannabis.

I would absolutely rather talk about astrophysics than health — partly because it’s where my expertise lies and partly because it’s more fun — but as a human person with a frustratingly biological existence (and friends and family who are also humans) it’s real hard to just ignore this dire stuff

In 2020 HCA claimed they couldn’t “afford” to give us N95s. The also took away our raises and a lot of benefits. Didn’t install negative pressure/ventilation in Covid rooms but the county hospital did 😐
I’ll go wait tables at Waffle House again before I’ll ever work at HCA again.
