A tenured English professor quit after the administration told her she was no longer allowed to include an Alice Walker essay in class materials.
She explained to her students why she would not substitute another essay, which was intended to illustrating overlooked voices in American history.

It is often the case that people you thought you could count on will let you down; sometimes others you never considered will step up. And sometimes if you are very lucky, some health care providers will actually do their job. The struggle is real. Thank goodness for cats and dogs and cannabis.

In 2020 HCA claimed they couldn’t “afford” to give us N95s. The also took away our raises and a lot of benefits. Didn’t install negative pressure/ventilation in Covid rooms but the county hospital did 😐

I quit HCA in 2020 because of their shenanigans. Later, after they completely ruined our hospital and all the staff quit, they texted, inviting me back. I told them to lose my number. I would not be working for HCA as long as I live. I loathe HCA.
