Presumably Krauss also didn’t believe Epstein had been arrested because, as a scientist, he had to see it with his own eyes.
Lawrence Krauss, once fêted by the skeptical movement: '[Krauss] added that he had no knowledge of the “horrendous crimes” — the sex trafficking — that Epstein was later accused of. “I was as shocked as the rest of the world when he was arrested.”'

Today I have my annual reminder that for some reason Number Two refers to pancakes as “flapjacks” when offering them to Number Six/Twelve. #flapjackcharlie

"The power to lower prices". No, fuck they shit; *you* have all the power, Tesco. I cannot lower any of your prices; all I can do is trade my personal data for them.

Tesco is to offer the Clubcard to children starting later this year, training a whole new generation that it’s totally normal to hand over your privacy in exchange for a discount.

Today I found out that Freddie Highmore, is the son of Edward Highmore - who played Turlough’s brother in Planet of Fire.

Does that mean he also is a chosen one? Can Freddie Highmore order a burning? Logar demands it.

It’s been 20 years since my Gran died. Twenty and a few weeks. I’ve been thinking today about one bittersweet memory I had from when she was still with us.

I’ve always been a Doctor Who fan, since before I can remember. When Doctor Who cropped up in conversation, Gran …

I adore the Howell version of the theme. Definitely my favourite.
Dear BBC and RTD: please bring back the Peter Howell version of the Doctor Who theme, and add a kicking drum beat to it, like this:

Well. Murderbot is clearly written as autistic. Probably accidentally, but even so.

Got to say, that Krauss conspiring with Epstein to discredit Marsh was not on my 2026 bingo card.

PLACEBO NEWS!

If you've followed @mikehall314.bsky.social & my obsession with placebo myths, you know that Dr. Beecher running out of morphine in WWII & noticing the placebo effect of saline is likely a myth.

Well, we found an earlier trace of this story... in WWI.

Something I feel is missing from being able to stream content properly on the web is provisional status codes.

If I make an HTTP request and while I’m awaiting content from my DB I start to stream down my header, nav, let the browser start on my JS, etc. But then my DB throws …

Not the first (or last) time that the primary use of a Facebook product is for men to sexually harass women.

If you love Doctor Who but haven’t listened to any of the @bigfinish.bsky.social audio books, I’d definitely recommend them, they’re fantastic. There’s even new stories with Christopher Eccleston and Billie Piper!

But if you only listened to one

I’d strongly recommend Spare Parts
